How to accept Easypaisa payments without a wallet aggregator

A Raast QR guide for Pakistani merchants. Published 3 October 2026 by the Settlix team.

Short answer: if your Easypaisa collections through an aggregator or gateway have stopped, you can keep collecting from the same customers with a Raast QR code. Easypaisa, JazzCash and Raast-enabled banking apps can all scan and pay a Raast QR. A dynamic Raast QR, such as Qrix by Settlix, also locks in the amount and order reference so payments reconcile automatically.

Why collections break when you depend on one wallet channel

Many digital merchants in Pakistan collect wallet payments through a single route: an aggregator or gateway account connected to one wallet. When that account is restricted, suspended or closed, customers who try to pay through it simply fail. The customer still has money in their wallet and still wants to buy. The route between them and you is what's gone.

The costs show up fast. Failed checkouts become lost revenue, customers who can't top up move to a competitor, and teams fall back on manual transfers that someone has to match by hand at the end of the day.

The fix is to accept payments through a rail that doesn't depend on any single wallet partner. In Pakistan, that rail is Raast.

What Raast QR is

Raast is the State Bank of Pakistan's instant payment system. In December 2023, the SBP launched Raast Person-to-Merchant (P2M), an interoperable service that lets businesses accept payments through static and dynamic QR codes, Request to Pay, IBAN and merchant aliases.

Interoperable is the key word. The SBP directed banks, microfinance banks and wallets to let their customers scan Raast P2M QR codes in their mobile apps by 1 March 2024. So a single Raast QR can be paid from Easypaisa, JazzCash and participating banking apps, whichever one your customer happens to use.

The same instructions say customers should not be charged a fee for paying a merchant through Raast P2M. That's a useful point to make to hesitant customers: paying by QR costs them nothing extra.

Static QR vs dynamic QR: which one do you need?

A static QR is one code that never changes, like a sticker on a counter. The customer scans it and types in the amount. It works for a corner shop, but for online orders it creates problems: wrong amounts, no order reference, and a finance team matching screenshots to orders.

A dynamic QR is created for one transaction. It carries the exact amount and your order reference, can expire after a few minutes, and can't be reused. When the customer pays, your system knows which order was paid without anyone checking.

If you run a website, an app or a social store, you want dynamic QR.

How to switch your collections to Raast QR in a day

  1. Pick a provider with an API, not just a sticker. You need QR codes generated per order, plus a webhook that tells your system when each one is paid.
  2. Check settlement timing. Ask how long it takes for collected funds to reach your account, and in what format you'll get the reconciliation report.
  3. Integrate in sandbox. Replace the failing wallet button on your checkout with a "Pay by QR" step that shows the code and, on mobile, a payment link.
  4. Tell your customers how to pay. One line at checkout is enough: "Scan with Easypaisa, JazzCash or your bank app."
  5. Go live and watch the first transactions. Confirm that webhooks arrive and orders fulfil automatically.

Questions to ask any Raast QR provider

How Qrix by Settlix handles this

Qrix generates a dynamic Raast QR for every order, locked to the amount and your reference, and payable from Easypaisa, JazzCash or any Raast-enabled bank app. Every request can also be shared as a Link to Pay. You get a real-time webhook, automatic reconciliation and settlement within one hour, with payouts on the same API. Pricing is 3.00% per pay-in and 1.50% per payout, and merchants can go live in as little as four hours.

For customers: how to pay with Easypaisa using a QR code

  1. Open the Easypaisa app (or JazzCash, or your bank's app).
  2. Tap scan, or the Raast QR option, and point your camera at the merchant's code. If the merchant sent you a link, open it on your phone.
  3. Check that the amount and merchant name are right, then approve with your PIN.

The merchant is notified as soon as you approve. If the code has expired, ask the merchant for a new one.

Frequently asked questions

Can Easypaisa users pay a Raast QR code?

Yes. Easypaisa, JazzCash and Raast-enabled banking apps can scan Raast QR codes. The SBP required regulated entities to enable Raast P2M QR scanning in their apps by 1 March 2024.

Is a Raast QR the same as an Easypaisa QR?

Not necessarily. A wallet's own merchant QR may only work inside that wallet. A Raast QR is interoperable and can be paid from any participating app.

Do customers pay a fee?

Under the SBP's Raast P2M instructions, customers paying merchants should not be charged a fee. Any service fee is agreed between the merchant and its provider.

How fast can I switch?

With an API-based dynamic QR provider, often the same day. Qrix merchants can go live in as little as four hours after signing, subject to KYB.
