Privacy Policy
1. Who is responsible for your information
This Privacy Policy explains how Purpose Technologies (SMC-Private) Limited (registration number 0012569, registered address Nelson Chambers, I. I. Chundrigar Road, Karachi, Pakistan), which operates Settlix and Qrix ("we", "us" or "our"), collects, uses and protects personal information. It applies to visitors to www.settlix.net, merchants and their representatives, and customers who pay merchants using our Services.
2. Information we collect
Website visitors
Our web servers and hosting provider automatically record technical information such as your IP address, browser type, pages requested and the date and time of your visit, for security and operation of the website. This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers and Google receives your IP address.
People who apply or contact us
Our application form does not send your details to our servers. When you press the button, it opens WhatsApp with a message containing the details you entered: business name, contact name, email, phone number, business type, product interest and estimated monthly volume. We receive this information only if you choose to send the message. We also receive any information you send us by email or WhatsApp.
Merchants
To onboard and serve merchants, we collect business and identity information required for KYB and AML checks, such as company registration details, NTN, CNIC or passport details of owners, directors and authorised signatories, ownership structure, business activities and licences, website and app details, payout bank account details, and contact details of users of the portal. We also hold transaction, settlement, payout and support records relating to your account, and logs of portal and API activity.
Customers who pay a Settlix merchant
When you pay a merchant through Qrix, we receive transaction information needed to process, confirm, reconcile and, where necessary, investigate the payment. This can include the amount, date and time, order reference, transaction identifiers, and payer details provided through the payment network, such as account title, bank or wallet name and a masked account identifier. The merchant may also share order information with us, such as an order reference or customer contact details, to provide the Services.
3. How we use information
- To provide the Services: generate payment requests, process and confirm payments, settle funds, make payouts and handle refunds.
- To verify identity and businesses, and to meet anti-money laundering, counter-terrorist financing, sanctions, tax and record-keeping obligations.
- To detect, prevent and investigate fraud, misuse and security incidents.
- To respond to applications, enquiries and support requests, and to send service and account communications.
- To operate, secure and improve the website, portal and API.
- To comply with law, regulation, and requests from regulators, courts and law enforcement, and to establish or defend legal claims.
We may send merchants and applicants information about our Services. You can ask us to stop at any time. We do not sell personal information.
4. Who we share information with
- Banks, wallets and payment systems involved in processing a payment, including participants in Raast.
- The merchant you paid, who receives confirmation and details of your payment.
- Service providers acting on our behalf, including our technology service provider Deadlock AI, hosting and cloud providers, identity verification and screening providers, and communication tools. They may use the information only to provide services to us.
- Regulators, law enforcement and courts where required or permitted by law.
- Professional advisers such as auditors and lawyers, under duties of confidentiality.
- A buyer or successor in connection with a merger, acquisition or restructuring, subject to equivalent protections.
WhatsApp is operated by WhatsApp LLC, part of Meta. Messages you send us through WhatsApp are also subject to WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy.
5. International transfers
Some of our service providers may store or process information outside Pakistan. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure the information is protected and that transfers comply with applicable law and regulatory requirements.
6. How long we keep information
We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described above. Transaction, identity and KYB records are kept for the periods required by anti-money laundering, tax and other applicable laws and regulations, which may continue after an account is closed. Application messages from people who do not become merchants are deleted when no longer needed.
7. Security
We use technical and organisational measures to protect information, including encrypted connections, access controls, signed webhooks, credential management and monitoring. No system is completely secure. Please keep your login details and API keys confidential and tell us immediately if you suspect misuse.
8. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law and our legal and regulatory obligations, you can ask us to give you access to the personal information we hold about you, correct inaccurate information, delete information we no longer need, or stop sending you marketing messages. Some information cannot be deleted while we are legally required to retain it. To make a request, email business@settlix.net. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
If you paid a merchant and have questions about how the merchant uses your information, please contact the merchant directly.
9. Children
Our Services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children for merchant onboarding.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page with its "last updated" date.
